About the Concept2 RowErg with Tall Legs
This is the RowErg with tall legs, which puts the seat 20 inches off the floor, 6 inches higher than the standard-legs model. Choose it if getting down to and up from a low seat is hard. The trade-offs are weight and stored size: it weighs 68 lb instead of 57 lb and takes more floor when stored. The rowing stroke, monitor and flywheel are the same on both.
Room and storage
Assembled, it is 8 feet long and 2 feet wide, the same as the standard model. Concept2 recommends a 9 by 4 foot space so you can get on and off easily. It splits into two pieces without tools and rolls on caster wheels. Stored upright, it takes 27 by 47 inches of floor and stands 54 inches tall, compared with 25 by 33 inches for standard legs.
Monitor and power
The PM5 monitor runs on two D cell batteries and draws power from the spinning flywheel while you row, so you never need an outlet. It connects by Bluetooth. There is no subscription: the monitor works on its own, and Concept2's online logbook is free.
