Do you buy used gym equipment in Boise?
We do. Our used floor is stocked by local health clubs, schools and homes that are upgrading, closing or downsizing, and we have sold and serviced commercial equipment since 1990; the used-equipment guide shows how we present it, and all used equipment shows what is on the floor today. What used equipment do you buy?
Commercial-grade machines from clubs, schools and homes. Machine types: treadmills, ellipticals and AMTs, upright, recumbent and spin bikes, stepmills and climbers, rowers, functional trainers, selectorized and plate-loaded machines, racks, benches, dumbbells and plates. If you are unsure whether your machine qualifies, email a photo of the console and the model sticker.
How does selling to Gym Outfitters work?
- Email julian@gymoutfitters.com (or pick "Selling or trading in equipment" on the contact form) with the make and model, the age, the approximate hours or use (home or club), and three or four photos: the whole machine, the console, the serial-number sticker and any damage.
- We reply with an offer or a consignment price.
- Pickup or drop-off. Bring it to 1852 S Century Way during showroom hours, or ask about pickup.
- Our technicians go through it before it is listed.
- It goes on the floor and the website. Pieces we buy outright are technician-inspected and most carry our 90-day warranty; consignment pieces are listed as-is and marked consignment.
- You are paid.
How do you decide what it is worth?
Brand, model, age, condition and whether parts are still available. A ten-year-old commercial machine with parts still available is worth money; a ten-year-old consumer treadmill usually is not. Photos of the console and the serial-number sticker let us answer quickly.

FAQ: selling and consigning
Can I sell a whole gym's worth of equipment at once?
Yes. Clubs, studios, apartment communities and schools that are closing or refitting a room are where much of our used floor comes from. Email julian@gymoutfitters.com an inventory list with make, model and age for each piece and photos of the room; we will tell you what we can buy outright, what we would consign and what we would pass on.
What is the consignment split?
50/50. We list your machine on our showroom floor and website, and when it sells you receive half of the selling price. Consignment pieces are sold as-is and marked as consignment on the tag and the listing, so the buyer knows there is no 90-day warranty.
Do you buy home-grade treadmills and bikes?
Usually not: our used floor is commercial-grade equipment from clubs, schools and homes. If you are unsure which category your machine is in, email julian@gymoutfitters.com a photo of the console and the model sticker and we will tell you.
Do you take trade-ins?
Yes. Tell us what you are replacing when you buy from us and email julian@gymoutfitters.com the make, model, age and photos; we will make an offer or a consignment price, the same as for any other piece.
